Building on the success of the original design, the new version boasts of enhanced features:
- Improved pressure gauge access with safety warning
The pressure gauge now has a movable hard-wearing plastic cover for easy access when needed. This cover has an engraved warning for the maximum air supply pressure of 12 Bar.
- Streamlined bridge design
The BR Reader mount has been removed from the bridge, leaving one swivel mount for a TWR weigh scale.

Create an Animal Performance account to build drafting templates or set drafting rules prior to your session, and your TWR weigh scale will automatically sync, minimising the hassle of making adjustments to the weigh scale during use.
Using The Sorting Unit.
The sorting of animals can be carried out:
Automatically
- Draft by weight
- Reading EIDs and using traits
Manually
- Using the remote (3-way drafting only)
By default, 3-way sorting is configured, however additional sorters can be added to give 5-way or 7-way drafting functionality. Contact your local Territory Manager for further information.
Like the Sheep Auto Drafter, the sorting unit is constructed primarily from composite materials and has pneumatically operated gates, which means it is light, safe to use and very quiet.
In automatic mode, the sorting is controlled by the weigh scale indicator, which sends signals through the Sheep Auto Drafter electronics to the sorting unit.
To enable this function, weight limits or a drafting list (using EIDs) will need to be set up in the weigh scale indicator to control the sorting of animals. To find out how to do this, refer to the weigh scale indicator user manual.
If the sorting unit is under manual control, the commands from the remote are transmitted through the Sheep Auto Drafter electronics to the sorting unit.
The remote is used to make each drafting decision manually.

To control the sorting direction the operator must set up appropriate weight limits or a sorting list in the weigh scale indicator as the remote can’t be used with 5-way or 7-way drafting.
