Access all the functionality of our original CERES TRACE Tag in a reusable casing with CERES RANCH! Apply using CERES RANCH Pins and Tethers* and you have the ultimate on-property management tool to guide your decision making. Utilising direct to satellite capability you can monitor your animals anywhere, through a device of your choice – with no network or infrastructure set up required. With CERES RANCH you will receive up to 4 data packets per day while accessing insights and alerts on animal behaviour, location & out of boundary alerts and activity monitoring. The key difference in CERES RANCH is its reusable nature allowing you to maximise the value in your investment.
CERES RANCH includes a daily Pasture Feed Intake summary packet that includes information on walking to the nearest minute, grazing to the nearest 30 seconds, Ruminating and resting to the nearest minute and drinking and other to the nearest minute. The Pasture Feed Intake packet also gives a calculation on pasture intake in kilograms an methane output in grams.
With Pasture Feed Intake customers can see metrics on both an individual animal level and at a herd level. They can view this data as reflection of the last 24hrs and also a reflection of the previous week. When using the data to impact your business performance Pasture Feed Intake data can help identify trends of animal behaviour over time.

Application
Step 1
Activate The Primary Component.
Use the Activation Tool and hold it flush against the Primary Component with the solar panels facing each other for at least 5 seconds.
The RED Led will flash slowly when properly activated.
Step 2
Sterilise The Secondary Component.
Dip or spray the Secondary Component with antiseptic solution.
Use antiseptic solution at recommended dilution.
Note: Failure to do so may cause irritation.
Step 3
Insert The Tether.
Slide the Tether through the opening at the top of the Primary Component.
Slide the Tether horizontally until lip is over the tag and clicks. Push the rear of the Tether down until it clips into place.
Note: There is only one way the Tether can slid through.
Step 4
Insert The Secondary Component.
Slide Secondary Component onto the Applicator Pin.
Note: A spare Applicator Pin is located in the handle of the Applicator.
Step 5
Insert The Primary Component.
Hold down the metal clamp and insert the Tether face down into the Applicator.
Step 6
Remove Other Tags.
Remove all other Tags* and ensure there is sufficient space in the ear for the CERES RANCH
*this excludes regulatory tags.
Step 7
Prepare To Apply.
Locate the correct position in the upper-middle area of the ear between the two visible cartilage tendons.
Squeeze the Applicator handles firmly until there is an audible click then release.
Note: Solar panels must be facing outwards, Use left or right era as per regulatory requirements.

Removal
Hook the Ear Tag Removal Tool over the Secondary Component and pull to cut
Safely dispose of the Tether and secondary Component.
Note: For the health, safety and biosecurity of you animals DO NOT reuse Tether.
Reuse
Clean any debris from the Primary Component before reuse.
Repeat Application steps.
Note: Ensure the RANCH Tags are charged in full sunlight before reuse.
